Scholastic Art Exhibition & Award Winners

Paint brushesArtist is an accurate term describing those “expressive individuals with the ability to share their imaginative vision." Artists find new ways to view the past, explain the present, and influence the future. They possess the ability to compress the most fascinating elements of life into a single experience. Art enriches our lives, cheers our darkest days, stirs our emotions, and stimulates our intellect. Our world needs artists whose work reflects not only skill and creativity, but godly wisdom and insight.

The student artists of Cincinnati Christian Schools develop and express their imaginative vision through participation in a variety of art courses, such as, fashion design, ceramics, drawing, painting, photography, jewelry making, etc. There is an opportunity for everyone to display and share their God-given talents.

Each year, students in our Art Department participate in:

  • the National Scholastic Arts Competition and are chosen for the Exhibit portion of that competition
  • our own CCS Art Fairs (on campus Junior High Art Fair and Senior High Art Fair at the Cincinnati Art Institute)
  • various other visual arts venues and opportunities, such as a summer work program, Room by Room Project in the local Ronald McDonald House Charities of Greater Cincinnati.
