IMPACT flyer for CCS

IMPACT grew from Athletes in Action.  AIA ultimately hopes to see peoples’ lives changed as they discover God’s purpose for their life.  They dream of a day when there are Christ-followers on every team, in every sport, in every nation.  They believe this is possible when organizations (like IMPACT) and individuals, who want every athlete to know someone who truly follows Jesus, work together toward the common goal of furthering God’s kingdom.  Student athletes are a wonderful place to start!

IMPACT is a group of high school student athletes that will meet once a week at the home of Jim and Chiqui Aull (West Chester). They will enjoy a Christian environment with food, and healthy fun for high school athletes. We hope this will be a place where they feel loved and cared for, and where Christ is both caught and taught.

Mason IMPACT began nine years ago with five students/athletes. They wanted to grow in the Lord and apply spiritual truths to their sport.  What started with five has become an average of 65-95 each week!  We are hoping to continue their trend in West Chester!

Many of the kids that will come to IMPACT  do not have one or have a minimal church background. Most are scared to come or to even question anything of faith. Many come from mainline or Catholic church background as well. The concept of personal faith and applying it to real life is somewhat new and can be confusing.  IMPACT will try to encourage a journey of faith, with incremental growth being the most important thing.

The weekly speakers at IMPACT will be former athletes, pastors, career persons who will speak Christian truth into their lives in a non-threatening, non-preachy way. They will speak about sports, family, school, etc. They will attempt to explain the scripture in a relevant and creative way.
