Student Travel Opportunities

CCS junior/senior high students have a wonderful variety of travel opportunities – both domestic and international. Some of these trips are annual, and some are every couple of years. Some are mission trips, some are educational trips, and some are just for fun!

Global Experiences Mission

To raise awareness of the world outside of CCS and to help students understand and begin to find a place in that world.

Potential Travel Opportunities

  • Washington D.C. – Annual 8th-grade class trip led by Beverly Granger. Travelers may receive high school credit or college credits for their experiences through WorldStrides. For more information, contact Beverly Granger via email or 513.892.8500 x 1025.
  • Project Mañana – Annual mission trip to our sister school (Colegio Evangélico Aclamamos Por Su Sabiduría – We Praise Your Wisdom Christian School) located in San Pablo, Villa González, Dominican Republic. Open to all CCS students in 9th through 12th grades, staff, and parents. In the case of a summer trip, students must have completed at least 9th grade.   • European Classroom – Annual educational trips open to all CCS students in 9th through 12th grades, alumni, staff, and parents. In the case of a summer trip, students must have completed at least 9th grade. Trips are coordinated and led by various teachers. Past countries visited include France, Switzerland, Ireland, Italy, and Germany. Students participating in Global Experiences may have the opportunity to receive a semester of credit in a variety of subject areas, depending upon the trip.   • Senior Trip – Annual community-building trip taken before graduation. For more information, contact Darin Lewis via email or 513.892.8500 x 1032.
  • Disaster Relief – Service-oriented trips for hurricane or other relief may be conducted as opportunities arise. For more information, contact Kim Stone via email or 513.892.8500 x 1020.
  • Academic STEM Trips – Biennial or triennial trips open to students in specific grades and their parents. These trips can confer high school science field experience credit if students complete necessary work before, during, and after the trip. Trips are organized and led by Mrs. Gina Smearsoll. Partner Programs

  • The Washington D.C. trip is offered in cooperation with WorldStrides.
  • Mission trips are currently conducted in partnership with Project Mañana (Dominican Republic) and Samaritan’s Purse (U.S.)
  • History/Culture, STEM, and language tours are primarily coordinated through Education First (EF) Tours who provides training to teachers leading trips.
  • Travelers may receive high school or college credits for their experiences through EF Tours’ WeShare program and other affiliated programs.
