What is SCRIP?
SCRIP is a term that means a form of payment, as in pre-paid gift cards and paper gift certificates. The SCRIP program is an easy way to earn money for our school without soliciting or spending anything extra! There are over 300 retailers that participate from gas stations to department stores to fast food and “not-so-fast” restaurants. The school can purchase pre-paid cards or paper certificates from these retailers at a discount. These look and spend exactly the same as those you would purchase directly at the store or restaurant. You pay and receive full purchase price for these cards and certificates and CCS receives the discounted difference as profit. The return percentage ranges anywhere from 2% to as much as 30% for some stores!
You can check out all the retailers at http://www.shopwithscrip.com/.
How Do I Order?
There is a condensed order form with the retailers most commonly requested in our area available at each campus. Use the blank space at the bottom of the order form to include any retailer from the master list not included on the smaller form. Monthly orders will be usually placed the first Friday of each month with pickup the following Friday. Check the order schedule for specific dates.
All payments need to be in cash, check or money order made out to “CCS Scrip”. They should be placed with the order form in the “SCRIP” box in the main office of either campus before 1:00pm on Friday of order weeks.
Pick Up
All orders will be available for pickup immediately after school on the following Friday or sent home with your youngest child. If you do NOT want it sent home with your child, you will be able to pick it up in the office of your child’s school. Since Scrip is like cash, and cannot be replaced if it is lost or stolen.
