Third Grade Summer Reading
Fourth Grade Summer Reading
- One of the books you choose must be a non-fiction book (which could be a biography or an autobiography).
- The second book must be a fiction book of your choice (which should be a 3.5 reading level or higher).
- Consider choosing a book about early American Indians since we will be studying about Indians in fourth grade.
- Please do not choose books you have already read or know we will be reading in fourth grade.
- Complete the book report forms for each of the chosen books and bring them to school during the first week back.
Fifth Grade Summer Reading
- Please choose at least two books to read over the summer, click here for a list of books. You may also choose an Intermediate Christian Chapter book.
- One book MUST be a non-fiction book - which would be a biography or an autobiography. The second book MUST be a fiction book.
- Please do not choose books that you have already read.
- These classic fiction and non-fiction books can be found in most libraries, bookstores, or on the web.
- Complete the book forms for each of the chosen books. DUE: during the first week of the next school year.
- EVERYONE is being asked to read Stuart Little by E.B. White.
- There will be in-class writing assignments on this book during the first two weeks of the next school year.
- Advice: Read or review this third book (Stuart Little) a couple of weeks before the first day of school in August. If you do not purchase this book, you may want to make a few notes about the book.
Sixth Grade Summer Reading
- Read a total of two books - one fiction and one non-fiction. One of the books must be from the 6th Grade Summer Reading List. The other may be selected by you and your parents.
- The books must be ones that the student has not read previously in class or individually.
- Complete a full book report using this criteria for both books.
- Book reports are to be turned in the first week of the school year.
