The Braggs

braggfamily.jpgDan became sold out to the Lord as a Christian when he was eighteen years old.  He desired to be in education since the 3rd grade.  Dan has always wanted to make a contribution to the kingdom.  Dan believes it is a great privilege and honor to have a God-given work to do.  Genesis Chapter two tells us that God gave Adam work to do (remember that this is before the fall!).  The verse in II Chronicles 16:8 that declare the eyes of the Lord go to and fro looking for those who are fully committed to Him so that He can Bless them and strengthen them, is a big encouragement!  Dan’s attitude has always been, “Lord, choose me; I want to do the job!”  Dan’s prayer for some twenty-five years has been, Lord, please use me, connecting to the little chorus, “…make me, mold me, fill me, use me…”Not only has God put Dan in wonderful places to serve Him, but also He has given him a great partner in his wife Annette (Mansfield Christian grad).  They met at Taylor University.  They have four boys; Josiah in the 10th grade, Isaiah-9th, Noah-6rd, and Micah is in fourth. Dan feels like he has been in school forever!  After a BA at Taylor University he received an M.A. degree from Grace Seminary in Administration, M.A. degree in history from Wright State, and now is only one dissertation away from an Ed-D degree at Liberty University.

annette.jpgDan’s experiences will benefit him as the leader at CCS.  He has taught for 9 years, Guidance 2 years, principal 7 years at Dayton Christian/Troy Christian, and superintendent 3 years at Toledo Christian.  He starts the work as the Superintendent at Cincinnati Christian since summer of 2006.  He has coached track, cross country, and wrestling.  The Lord has put him around great people to mentor him over the years.

Dan is very thankful for his background, but also understands as the apostle Paul dan-at-match.jpgsaid in Philippians chapter three; we dare not put our confidence in the flesh.  Instead the mystery that confounds the world is the truth that Jesus Christ is the hope and the Glory.  His life verse is Colossians 1:28 and 29 where Paul talks about his goal to do whatever it takes to teach people what it means to be mature in Christ.  Dan is passionate about  Christian Education and excited about the great dan-at-track.jpgpotential at Cincinnati Christian Schools!
