Testimony:
I accepted Christ in 1997 after finding out that my son was born legally blind in one eye from birth and being told the world of medicine could do nothing. Through faithful prayers and my wife’s strong belief and persistency in the Lord to heal Armand, he went from 20/400 to 20/100 in a week. In a few short months, he went to 20/80 and now easily reads 20/30 or 20/40. After realizing that there was something I couldn’t fix and there was something bigger than me, I accepted Christ as my Savior.

When I was 10, we visited a church where we heard the gospel for the first time. I had worked very hard to be “good” and rebelled for weeks against the idea of needing a Savior. One day, I lied to my dad and instantly realized I could never be good enough and trusted Christ as my Savior.

Strengths I bring to the Board:
I am passionate about Christian Education and the need to equip our kids to go face a culture that is becoming increasingly antagonistic to their faith. My own search for answers has led me to realize the need to take 1 Peter 3:15 to heart. I share the CCS vision to instill that kind of mindset in our graduates and I am prepared and excited to serve in helping make the vision become reality.
Testimony:
I met my Savior and my future wife in a high school youth group Bible Study in 1976. Though I spent several years wandering aimlessly in my faith, the arrival of my children woke me up to the fact that I needed to take it seriously. My focus for the past several years has been not just on learning about God, but also on learning to know God and the fulfillment that comes with living out that knowledge in service to the community of believers that is His church.

Testimony:
Being raised in a Christian home from birth, I came to realize at the age of 8 my sins and my need of a savior. I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and savior and was baptized into Christ in 1973 at the New Burlington Church of Christ. In my early twenties I found myself wondering if my belief in Christ was my parents’ or was truly my own. After many months of questioning my belief system, I came to the conclusion that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God.

Strengths I Bring to the Board:
My skills in organizational effectiveness, finance, and management of a small business can be utilized across a number of areas at CCS. Gifts in teaching and my desire for children to be grounded in Christ have led me to serve my local church as a Sunday school teacher and youth bible study leader. While I look to use my skills and experience as part of the CCS board, I understand that we need to be in Christ and dependent on His wisdom and direction.
Testimony:
After being involved in church growing up, I drifted into rebellious attitudes and behavior in my late HS/early college years. During that time my oldest sister and other believers were praying for God to get my attention. After a potentially serious car accident on the campus of Miami, as well as a series of other events, God opened my eyes to my need for Him. I went to my sister who ultimately led me to pray for Jesus to be Lord of my life at age 22. From that moment forward there were immediate and significant changes as I started on a journey of seeking to follow and know more about Christ and His love and faithfulness.

I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as my Savior when I was 9 years old during Sunday School class at Landmark Baptist Temple. I felt heaviness in my heart (conviction) and realized I was a sinner in need of a Savior. I believe that Christ died for my sins- the Holy Spirit of promise sealed me and I became a child of God.
